Quest Link Setup

Use Quest Link to view large complex models on your Quest 3 or 3S that are rendered directly from your PC. If your organization uses Meta Quest for Business, please click here to continue.

Before you start, make sure:

1. You have a Quest link cable
2. You have a compatible PC.
3. Your headset is NOT connected to the PC

Getting started

You will need to complete the following steps the first time you run Campfire for Quest Link.

1. Install Campfire for PC

Go to https://app.campfire3d.com/

2. Install the Quest Link app for PC

Go to https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/headsets-and-accessories/oculus-link/set-up-link/

3. Create a Meta Developer Account (Required)

4. Enable Developer Mode

If you are a Meta developer:

Connecting your Quest to Meta Quest Developer Hub on the PC will activate Developer Mode and bring up the USB Debugging Prompt in the headset

5. Run the Quest link app, sign in with your Meta developer account and setup your device

Open the Meta Quest Link app on your PC and follow the instructions to connect your device. Please use the option to connect via a cable.

6. Enable Developer Runtime Features in Quest Link

In the Meta Quest Link app on your PC. Go to Settings > Beta > Enable Developer Runtime Features. Then enable Passthrough over Meta Quest Link (Developer account required).

7. Enable Passthrough (Recommended)

In the Meta Quest Link app on your PC. Go to Settings > Beta > Passthrough on Meta Quest Link.

8. Connect your Quest to your PC with a cable

You will see the following prompt in the headset:

Select Always allow from this computer

Start Quest Link in your headset by clicking on “Enable” in the pop-up or selecting Quick Settings → Link → Your PC → Launch

9. Run Campfire for Quest Link from your PC (Only required on first run)

Located at C:\Program Files\Campfire\Campfire for Headsets

After completing these steps, you will be able to run Campfire from the Quest Link app

Using Air Link

With Air Link you can connect your Quest 3 to a PC using your Wifi network (instead of a cable).

After pairing your headset to your PC with the USB cable you can enable Air link by following these steps:

1. Run Meta Quest Link on your pc. (Do not connect your USB cable)
2. On your Quest, click on Quick Settings
3. Select Settings → Link
4. Enable the toggle next to Use Air Link
5. Select your PC in the list and click on Pair
6. On your PC, confirm the pairing code matches what you saw on the headset and click Confirm.
7. Put your headset back on.
8. Select Launch to begin using Air Link.
