Managing Enterprise Trials

This article explains how Enterprise trials work and how to enable them for Guest users.

Enterprise trials give Admins a simple way to let Guests experience Campfire’s full capabilities. Trials last 14 days and allow Guests to create new projects, add models, compose scenes, and use features like the materials library, selection sets, scene anchors, and Kinematics.

Availability and requirements

  • Enterprise trials are available for customers with an existing Enterprise plan
  • Trials are managed from the Admin Portal; once enabled, Guests will have access to all Campfire features across all devices
💡

If you don’t currently have an Enterprise plan and you’re interested in a trial for your organization, contact sales@campfire3d.com

How it works

Admins can start a one-time trial for any Guest from the Admin Portal. Once enabled, the trial period begins immediately. During the trial, Guests have access to all Campfire features for 14 days — with no cost and no obligation to upgrade.

Enabling an Enterprise trial

To start a trial for a Guest, open the Admin Portal and locate the user in the list.

Click the Guest to open their user details, then switch on the Start a 14-day trial toggle. After saving your changes, the trial begins immediately.

Once the trial is active:

  • The user’s seat type will update from Guest to Trial in the Admin Portal
  • An email notification will be sent to the Guest, letting them know the trial has started
  • An in-app notification will display the next time the Guest logs in on any device

What Guests can do during a trial

During the 14-day trial, Guests have full access to all Campfire features and can create their own projects.

Guests can also:

  • Add models in more than 40 supported formats and use the shared model library
  • Compose scenes with multiple models and customize scene backgrounds
  • Group parts and/or models into selection sets
  • Change the appearance of models with drag-and-drop materials and CAD colors
  • Use scene anchors to align your Campfire scenes with the real world
  • Enable Campfire Kinematics to detect collisions between models and parts

What happens when the trial ends

When the trial is over, the Guest’s seat type returns to Guest and their original access is restored.

They’ll no longer see the My Projects tab in the Campfire app, and they’ll lose access to any projects they created during the trial. They will still be able to open projects that have been shared with them by others.

If the Guest upgrades to a Core seat at any point in the future, their My Projects tab will return, and all projects they created during the trial will be available again.
